In 2008 Eva Sippl founded Herbucha, LLC, now home of Eva's Herbucha and Eva's Cultured Candy. The first 9 plus years Eva and her crew dedicated their time to brew high quality small-batch kombucha.
Over time however, it started to bother Eva that she has to throw away so many SCOBYs although they are a perfectly good food item. She started to produce kombucha starter kits for DYI folks but this still only made a dent.
Fall 2017 she finally had an idea to create kombucha candy with the SCOBYs and after a few weeks of experimenting she figured out a way to create delicious raw organic treats.
